Hp Pavillion July 17, 2010 Moonlitekilla 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
So I bought this laptop yesterday and it arrived today. I only got to use it for an hour before I packed it up and sent it back. My caps lock button would turn on with each button press. Its rather annoying but Amazon is sending me a new one. Overall this laptop is very nice. Beware though, the touchpad is bad. Do yourself a favor and buy a mouse with this. On a very positive note, this laptop is fast and the screen is gorgeous!!! Buy it and a mouse, but beware of the broken caps lock.
Update!: Well my new on was delivered yesterday so I have had a little over a day with it. Its very nice. Like I said before, this puppy is fast. It runs MW2 perfectly. Although it does get rather hot. The keyboard is sweet and it feels perfect. The trackpad on the other hand is ehhhhhh, Its hit or moss most of the time. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone in need of a cheap high-powered laptop. Buy this.
Good computer, lousy touch pad and scroll July 22, 2010 wbudd21 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have had this computer for a couple of days now and I can say that overall I am happy with it except for one thing. The touch pad and scroll are terrible. I really like this computer except for that issue. Unfortunately I am bugged enough to send it back. I was on the phone with HP for over an hour trying to get it to work better and I couldn't.
Everything else works great. Fast, can do a lot on it. Sigh.... I am so bummed but I just can not get over this issue.
Super Fast August 20, 2010 Fabe73 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had this laptop a little over 3 months now and I can say I like it very much. The finish is nice and the processor is super fast. The laptop has tons of features. The only negative I would say about the laptop is the eject button for the dvd drive is too small for not only the avergae man but anyone.
Great laptop except for the mouse pad August 29, 2010 Cargueliz 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This laptop is fast and has great capacity. The only thing is the "flat" mouse pad (no buttons) that is very annoying to use. If you are going to buy this laptop, make sure you get an external mouse. Other than that, it works great.
Nice Laptop September 3, 2010 Shawn S. (Minnesota) I've had this for 1 month now and everything works as expected. Great spec's for the price (that's why I purchased this particular model). Runs all my programs well and is very quiet even when the fans kick on high when playing demanding games. Runs very cool when doing operations that are not very CPU intensive like surfing the web or word processing. The only time it gets a little warm is again, when playing demanding games that use allot of CPU and GPU resources. But that's to be expected. Battery life is about 2.25 hrs. if you're surfing the web. Not bad for a rig with these specs. There are however, a few things that could be better. As mentioned by previous posters, the track pad takes some getting used to. I use a low profile wireless mouse so for me that's a non-issue. The keyboard is your typical not-so-great laptop "chicklet" style. If you're going to do allot of typing, you may want to consider a usb or wireless keyboard. You can get a combo pack mouse and keyboard for a pretty reasonable price. My suggestion would be to go to Best Buy or someplace and try the keyboards on multiple brands of laptops and see for yourself what you like and dislike. I think most laptops leave a little to be desired in the keyboard category. My biggest complaint is the speakers. With all the hype of the beats audio, the speakers themselves just don't cut it. Even with the sub woofer they're not very good. Overall a very nice, fast computer with good build quality at a great price.
